Bio

Kellie M. Dixon, EdD, is a lecturer in the Learning and Organizational Change EdD program.  Dr. Dixon’s areas of teaching include educational evaluation, qualitative data analysis and advising doctoral students. Dr. Dixon earned a B.S. in kinesiology and M.S in community and college counseling from Longwood University, followed by a EdD in organizational leadership and development from Grand Canyon University.

Dr. Dixon is a 2023 American College Personnel Association (ACPA) Diamond Honoree for her contributions to higher education, more specifically in the area of student affairs. Her primary scholarly interests include institutional/organizational effectiveness, assessment and evaluation, equity-centered practices, Black women in leadership, self-awareness, historically Black colleges and universities, and student success. She has published several articles, book chapters, and co-edited a book. Dr. Dixon is a well sought out assessment guru, speaker, and facilitator. In addition, Dr. Dixon is affiliated with various professional organizations where she serves on commissions, boards, and committees. Dr. Dixon is affectionately known as Dr. K, by her students and peers.
