Bio

Dr. Sandra Talbert has been an educator for over 30 years and is a strong proven leader in the field. Her service in education has ranged from elementary schools to the college level, including roles as teacher, assistant principal, principal, superintendent, professor, and state-wide trainer. Prior to joining Baylor School of Education, Dr. Talbert most recently served as Superintendent of Schools for a Texas 4A public school district.

Dr. Talbert received her bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University, her master’s from Sam Houston State University, and her doctorate from Tarleton State University. She has taught education courses at Tarleton State University and Mississippi State University.

Dr. Talbert is known as an instructional leader who has a deep understanding of curriculum and a commitment to sharing that information through intentional and practical staff development, workshops, and keynote addresses. Dr. Talbert also has expertise on the topics of leadership and organizational change. She has a unique ability to engage those she teaches and is known for creating and maintaining a positive, rich learning environment and culture in the organizations in which she serves.
